New TEFL center for English language certification opens up in the heart of Washington DC
Washington DC–October 2 2013– Interested in developing a professional career in English language teaching? Look no further. Teaching House welcomes you to their newest location, right in the heart of downtown Washington, D.C. Teaching House is affiliated with Cambridge University. The organization holds 4-week training sessions throughout the year for applicants looking to attain a CELTA (Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults). With headquarters in New York and 23 other locations worldwide, Teaching House is glad to have a permanent home in D.C. Courses were temporarily housed in the Waterview Conference Center in Virginia, but Teaching House scouted downtown Washington D.C. as the perfect area for relocation with hopes of reaching an even larger audience and making the school more easily accessible. Teaching House anticipates a higher volume of interest and attraction of prospective students. The facility comes equipped with three large classrooms and several small conference rooms perfect for conducting more personal class sessions and one-on-one lessons. Over the last two years in Teaching House has enrolled and trained over a 100 applicants within the CELTA program in the DC area. A number of trainees have gone on to further develop their careers internationally, finding employment in Taiwan, China, Saudi Arabia, London and Mexico. Teaching House also offers students interested in improving their English free English classes taught by CELTA trainees. The center opening is set for October 7, 2013 at 9 a.m. Teaching House is excited for the change in location and proud to offer its students a well-equipped and modern facility to study in.
About Teaching House Established in 2006, Teaching House is an international TEFL training center with an enrollment of over 3000 candidates within their CELTA program. The CELTA (The Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults) is a globally recognized English language certificate accredited by the historically prestigious Cambridge University. The CELTA program at Teaching House is comprised of full-time intensive, part-time extensive and semi-intensive courses that follow a detailed English language teaching curriculum developed by the University of Cambridge. Each course is taught and monitored by an experienced team of English language teacher trainers who help develop students’ communication, classroom management and organization skills. Students learn through teaching practice with real students and can implement skills taught by instructors into their lesson plans. Upon graduation trainees then have the opportunity to seek employment overseas in places such as Taiwan, China, Mexico, Indonesia, and more. Rigorous, intense and highly rewarding, the CELTA course prepares students for a career in English language teaching abroad.
